Introduction
At Global Institute of Information Technology and Business, we know that education is not just about lectures and classrooms—it’s about access, flexibility, and relevance. For years, our main campus in Kampala has served students from across the country. But we also recognized a challenge: many learners outside Kampala were facing difficulties relocating, balancing work with study, and managing the high cost of upkeep in the city.
That’s why we made a bold move: to decentralize higher education and bring it closer to you. Today, we are proud to operate two vibrant study centers in Jinja City and Mbarara City, in addition to our Kampala campus.
Why Jinja?
Jinja isn’t just the source of the Nile—it’s the heartbeat of Busoga and Eastern Uganda. Many of our students from Kamuli, Iganga, Bugiri, Mayuge, Namutumba, and beyond were making long journeys to Kampala. With our Jinja Centre (Light Arcade, Plot 80, Main Street), that is no longer necessary.
Here, you’ll find the same quality programs as in Kampala, plus specialized courses tailored to the region’s economic and industry needs. Whether you’re from Busoga, Mbale, Teso, or the northern corridor, Jinja brings Global Institute closer to your doorstep.
Why Mbarara?
Western Uganda is full of promise, from agribusiness to tourism and cross-border trade. But students from Bushenyi, Ntungamo, Kasese, Sheema, Bundibugyo, and beyond faced the same challenge: relocating to Kampala.
Our Mbarara Centre (Padre Pio Building, High Street, opposite Bam Classic Hotel) is here to solve that. Just like in Kampala, you’ll access nationally accredited programs—but also enjoy customized courses that meet the unique economic demands of the West.
