Procurement & Supplies Chain Management is designed to provide students with a strong background in areas of procurement, stores management, supply chain management, logistics management and other related fields.

Programme Rationale

The Global Institute of Information Technology and Business introduced the Diploma in Procurement and Logistics management to address the need for efficient utilization of resources within organizations and to impart learners with broad-based training. The programme is designed to provide students with relevant knowledge and skills that will enable them work in the areas of procurement, stores management, logistics management and other related fields.

 Programme Objectives

This course aims at:

i) To introduce students to the scope and principles of procurement professional ethics.

ii) To enable students understand basic logistics management with special regard to how it contributes to improvement in efficiency and effectiveness in organisational performance.

iii) To make students appreciate the procurement and supply chain management perspective and how they develop products to suit the different groups.

iv)  To equip learners with essential knowledge on different theories of management.
